Skiing with St Georges is really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really FUN!!!!! (That's how fun it is)
We go every Thursday to Bugnenets (about 20 minutes away) and have lunch earlier than usual. We do not have afternoon school lessons and we skip one morning lesson to have lunch. We carry our skis down to the funicular station so we can meet our bus (We use the same bus as the La Chaux de Fonds hockey team!!!)
Once we get there, we can carry our skis or ski down to the slopes. You have the choice to ski or snowboard. We get put into groups that are beginner, intermediate, and advanced. The advanced group is the biggest because St. George's has really awesome skiers. The advanced group gets to do jumps and go into the forest. Our instructors are very nice and they look like they want us to strive to become professional skiers. And best of all... There's nobody else there!
When we get tired, we get a break. We have tea and chocolate. Most of the time the weather is fantastic, and today it is snowing meaning that we get FRESH SNOW ON THURSDAY!!!!
Dario S. will be conducting an after school activity for ski maintenance, to show us all how to look after our equipment properly.
Miss Fish also took some photos.
