Senior class profiles (Sameer)

Sameer Garg is a 17 year old student from Richmond, Virginia. He has lived in the United States his whole life and aspires to build a career over there as well. He is very cultivated and is able to speak English, Hindi (from his origin) and is currently learning French. He likes interacting with people, and this is why he is currently approaching his career interest into business. He recalls always being quite sure of his professional choice as when he quotes “I remember running a little lemonade stand outside my house when I was younger.”

Sameer is a very bright student and loves math, he tries to exceed in everything he does, “I try to be in the top 25 % of everything I do.” Sports plays an important part in Sameer's life, he is very good at basketball (he made everyone play in the school, and appreciate it!) and has been playing it since he was 10 and since he was 8 he has been practicing a particular dance from India. He is Indian, but has never lived there, even though his family lives in the United States they have very strong traditional morals and beliefs.

One of his fondest memories is when he traveled to Honolulu, Hawaii and recalls walking on molten lava. Concluding, Sameer is a hard worker with lots to give to the world and his life moto proves this. “When wealth is lost, nothing is lost: when health is lost, something is lost: but when character is lost, everything is lost.”
