Senior class profiles (Lisa)

Lisa Uvarova is a 17 year old student from Russia. She has been in Switzerland for a few years and has taken the chance to learn French. Lisa has a good language knowledge, she has some relatives throughout eastern Europe and is able to speak fluently Russian, Ukrainian, English and French. As these are not enough she is currently learning German and Spanish.
Lisa has a passion, she has been dancing since the age of four and basically has never stopped. Ballet, jazz or even Latin American dance, nothing has stopped her from exceeding her comfort zone. She has been putting her talent forward at St George's, as you may have seen in the school play. An activity is organized by her once a week, so that the girls she teaches have a taste of different dances.

As Lisa is graduating relatively soon, she has been thoroughly thinking about her future career and study at university. She has always had a preference for studying in the United States. As a career, she has almost always been sure she would like to go into political journalism, she loves the social contact and the thrill of the job. A dream she would like to realise is the opening of a cultural center for poor children in Russia. She likes children very much and would love to give them chances to have a better and brighter future.
